      <description>&lt;br/&gt;Jean Applebaum Cohen, age 90, of Newton, MA, formerly of Bridgeton, NJ, died in Newton on Thursday, February 2, 2012. Wife of the late Albert Cohen. Survived by her sister, Mary Frank, daughter Sharon Soltzberg, and proud grandmother of 4 and great-grandmother of 5. Jean’s other daughter, Fridelle Cohen Peterson (deceased), was an Auburn, ME resident. Jean was active in community service through Jewish Community Housing for the Elderly in Newton. &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;COHEN, Jean, 90, of Newton, MA, died in Newton on Thursday, February 2, 2012. Funeral services will be at Temple Shalom in Auburn, ME, on Sunday, February 5 at 1:30 pm. Interment will be in the Beth Jacob Cemetery, Auburn, ME. Martel, 69, of 315 East Avenue, Lewiston, died Friday, February 3, 2012, at the d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston. Born in Lewiston on December 7, 1942, she was the daughter of William and Maria Pomerleau Martel Sr. Educated in local schools, she worked for many years in the housekeeping department of St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, retiring in 2007. In 2001, Pearl was the recipient of the Marguerite d’Youville Award for Respect. She had a natural talent for music and especially enjoyed playing the organ and the accordion.  “Aunt Pearl”, as she was fondly known to many, would bring her organ to entertain family gatherings, and provided the soundtrack to many local Multiple Sclerosis Society Christmas parties and other events. A devout Catholic, she was a member of Holy Cross Church. Survivors include two brothers, Paul and wife Joline Martel of Lewiston, and William Martel Jr. of Auburn, three sisters, Georgette Mathieu of Sabattus, Jackie and husband Ronald Drapeau of Auburn, and Michelle and husband Conrad Robitaille of Lewiston, and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Also a special family friend, Yvette Sirois of Lewiston. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Robert Martel, and a sister, Monique Martel.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Funeral Notice&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;MARTEL, Pearl, 69, of Lewiston, died in Lewiston on February 3, 2012. Boisvert, formerly of 400 Montello St, Lewiston and Montello Heights Assisted Living Center, passed away from complications  related to Alzheimer’s Disease on February 1, 2012 at The Lamp in Lisbon, ME with loving family members by her side. She was born on October 4, 1922 in Lewiston, the daughter of Eugene and Annette (Chatel) Cloutier. She attended local schools, graduating from Lewiston High School with the class of 1941. In 1944 she married her high school sweetheart, Joseph “Pancho” Boisvert, a well-known local businessman, and they remained together until his death in 2001. Theresa was an active member of Holy Family Parish, serving as a Eucharistic Minister for a number of years and as a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. She was an avid golfer, bowler and sports fan who also enjoyed needlepoint and crossword puzzles. She and her husband, Pancho were snowbirds for many years, spending the winters at their home in North Port, FL. Theresa leaves behind one daughter, Jackie and husband Steve Murray of Kissimmee   FL; one son, Ron and wife Cindy of Auburn a daughter-in-law Jeanne of Pittsfield ME; 6 grandchildren, Scott Murray and wife Lindsay of Waltham MA, Michelle Murray Antonio and husband Brett of Raleigh NC, Noelle Boisvert Roach and husband Shad of Raleigh NC, Nikki Boisvert Butler of Sidney, Christopher Boisvert and fiancé Giovanna of Princeton N.J. ; Brittany Boisvert and  fiancé Ned of Scarboro. She also leaves 2 great-grandchildren, Colby Roach and Danielle Antonio, a sister Georgette Feely of Auburn and brother Raymond Cloutier of North Port FL. Theresa was predeceased by her parents, her husband Pancho, her son Richard, 2 brothers, George and Robert Cloutier, and a sister Germaine Cloutier Guite. The family would like to acknowledge the staff at Montello Heights Assisted Living Center and Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice for their  loving care of Theresa. They would also like to recognize the ownership and staff at The Lamp who’s extraordinary care over the final years and days of Theresa’s life was truly a blessing to both her and her family.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;BOISVERT, Theresa, 89, of Lewiston, died in Lisbon on February 1, 2012. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, from 1 - 3 PM. Services will be Monday, 11 AM, Holy Family Church. Interment, St. Peter’s Cemetery. Brochu, 81, of Lewiston, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at the Hospice House in Auburn. Born in Lewiston on January 15, 1931, he was the son of Onesime and Beatrice Boucher Brochu. Educated in local schools and a graduate of Lewiston High School, he served in United States Navy. On September 12, 1951, he married the former Lorraine DeLorme. He worked for many years as a milkman, delivering for Cote’s Dairy and H.P. Hood, and after retiring worked part-time for Maine Awards. An avid sportsman in his younger years, he loved softball, both as a player and an official, including being the umpire-in-chief and serving as the Andy Valley Softball District Commissioner. He also enjoyed volleyball, and was a member of Le Montagnard. Called the “best pepere in the world” by his grandchildren, he had a gift for making everyone laugh and never lost his sense of humor, even while battling Alzheimer's in his final years. A member of Ss. Peter &amp;amp; Paul Basilica, Prince of Peace Parish, he is survived by his loving wife of Lewiston, three daughters, Diane and husband Robert Harrington of Minot, Tina and husband Paul Weaver of Rochester, NH, and Nanci Paladino of Lewiston, a brother, Paul and wife Connie Brochu of Lewiston, three sisters, Fern and husband Robert Couture of Lisbon, Joline Brissette of Lewiston, and Jeannette and husband Robert Lucio of Wisconsin, six grandchildren, Melanie Harrington, Calvin, Eliot, and Nathan Weaver, and Casey and Tanner Paladino, and a great-grandson, Nathan Weaver, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Diane Letourneau, and a brother-in-law, Raymond Brissette. Beaudry, 95, of Poland, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at the d’Youville Pavilion with her son Peter by her side, following a recent stroke. She was born in Lewiston, November 27, 1916, daughter of Dominique and Emilia (Beliveau) Cloutier. A graduate of Lewiston High School class of 1936, she married Alfred J. Beaudry on April 11, 1942, in Ss. Peter &amp;amp; Paul Church. She made her home in Chelmsford, MA for over 50 years. She wintered at her home in Winter Haven, Fla., and spent her summers in Poland, Maine before moving back to Maine to live with Peter. She was an interpreter in Boston during World War II, worked in the electronics industry and was a real estate broker in Chelmsford for many years. She enjoyed painting, braiding rugs, making wreaths, baking cakes and pies for her favorite friends. She was also the Boston Post Cane holder of the town of Poland, presented to her when she was 92 years old, and was a member of Association Canado-Americaine. She had a warm, outgoing personality, loved the outdoors and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her son Peter G. Beaudry of Poland, her caregiver for many years. She is also survived by her brother Gerard D. and sister-in-law Therese Cloutier of Lewiston, her sister-in-law Pauline Palesse of Plymouth, MA; her nephews, Robert Cloutier, Donald Cloutier, William Riffert, Paul Beaudry, Edward Beaudry, Donald Mullen, Robert Mullen, her nieces, Carol Ann Borland, Lorrraine Abreu, Paula Constantine, Doris Maloney, Eleanor Griffin and a special neighbor and “friend of Carmen’s”, Dr. Fred Jordan. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Alfred J. Beaudry in 2003 and her sister Lucille M. Riffert in 2005. Special thanks to the staff at CMMC and d’Youville Pavilion for the wonderful compassionate care they gave Carmen.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Funeral Notice&lt;br/&gt;BEAUDRY, Carmen, 95, of Poland, died in Lewiston on January 25, 2012. Allen, 79, passed away in the  early morning of January 23 at his home following a long illness. He was born in Lewiston on June 12, 1932, the 13th of 14 children of Joseph and Virginie (Bourque) Allen. He attended St. Mary's School and Lewiston High School. He enlisted in the Navy serving in the Korean War from 1951 to 1955 on the Fred T. Berry 858 Destroyer in the Atlantic Arena. He was a proud man and lived by his convictions. Ray served as past Commander of Post 22 of the American Legion and served in many other capacities over the years. He married Louise Libby on June 27, 1953 at St. Joseph's Church in Lewiston. Upon leaving the military he drove trucks for Nehi Beverage, Highland Spring Bottling, and L&amp;amp;A Fuel. He also managed several gas stations in the area. Ray was a landlord who enjoyed improving his properties and loved working the soil in his gardens.  You could always find him puttering around his grounds.  He enjoyed Fox News, keeping up with politics, doing crossword puzzles, golfing with his buddies at Prospect Hill Golf Course and also reading. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Louise Libby Allen of Lewiston; his daughter, Deborah Allen and husband, Eugene Holm of Lewiston; two sons, Kenneth of Portland and John and his companion Monique Lausier of Canton; 5 grandchildren, Dustin Gagnon Sr. and his wife Delaina, Jean-Paul Gagnon, Kayla Allen, Joseph McKinnon and Sarah Allen; 4 great-grandchildren, Sophia Allen and Alex Hutchins,  Dustin Jr. and Quinn Gagnon; 4 sisters, Irene Lozier of Rutland, Vt., Theresa Allen of Auburn, Simonne Deschaine and Lorraine Perron both of Lewiston; and a  brother-in-law Avon Libby Jr. of Topsham; 5 step-grandchildren, 7 step great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by six sisters, Annette Gagne, Corinne DeForge, Lauretta Lombard, Gloria Lacasse, Doris Turgeon, Cecile St. Amand, and by three brothers, Robert, Fernand and Ernest.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Funeral Notice&lt;br/&gt;Allen, Raymond B., 79, of Lewiston, died in Lewiston on January 23, 2012. Survivors include two daughters, Judy and husband Alan Farr of Arizona, and Suzanne St. Pierre of Auburn, two grandchildren, Cheryl Dill and Thomas Farr, and a great-grandson, Jeremy Dill. Comeau, 83, formerly of 93 Whipple Street, Lewiston, died Sunday, January 8, 2012, at Ouellette’s Adult Foster Home in Lewiston. Born in Lewiston on July 8, 1928, he was the son of George and Marie LaPointe Comeau. Educated in local schools, he joined the U.S. Army in 1946. A veteran of the Korean War, he stayed in the Army, active and reserve, until his retirement in 1973. Following his military service, he returned to Lewiston and worked for over twenty years for Lewiston Public Works. A member of Ss. Peter &amp;amp; Paul Basilica, Prince of Peace Parish, he also belonged to Lewiston Senior Citizens and Horizon 55. Survivors include a brother, Raoul Comeau of Lewiston, and a sister, Georgette Bolduc of Lewiston. The family would like to thank Dr. Darlene Miller and Ron Ouellette for the care they gave Henry during his final illness.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Funeral Notice&lt;br/&gt;COMEAU, Henry, 83, of Lewiston, died in Lewiston on January 8, 2012. Ouellette, 90, formerly of 10 Wildwood Drive, Lewiston, died peacefully Sunday, January 8, 2012, surrounded by her family at the Hospice House in Auburn. She was born April 5, 1921, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Felix and Flavie Saucier Dumond. She married Berthold J. Ouellette on June 18, 1940. They were married for 47 years until his passing on June 21, 1987.  She most enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother.  She is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Sandra Ray and husband Eddie of St. Petersburg, Fl, Mrs. Gail Boucher and husband Richard of Lewiston, Mrs. Kathleen Custeau and husband James of Auburn, three sons: Jeffrey Ouellette and wife Virginia of Manchester, CT, Gregory Ouellette of St. Petersburg, FL, and Daniel Ouellette of Hartford, Maine, 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Berthold, her son Gary J. Ouellette Sr., four brothers: Hypolite, Eddie, Aurelle and Elbridge &amp;quot;Pat&amp;quot; Dumond; and five sisters: Mamie Dubois, Lydie Pelletier, Hattie Roy, Clothilde Marie Theriault and Cecile Doustou. The family would like to thank the staff of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice and Russell Park Rehabilitation and Living Center for their compassionate care and attention to her comfort.  The family would also like to give a very special thank you to ZamZam Mohamud for all her love and support.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Funeral Notice&lt;br/&gt;OUELLETTE, Emily, 90, of Lewiston, died in Auburn on January 8, 2012.
