Muriel A. Breton, 87, of 211 Randall Road, Lewiston, died Saturday, July 18, 2015, at the Cedars Retirement Home in Portland. Born in Lewiston on May 15, 1928, she was the daughter of Antonio A. and Eva Rivard Breton. She was educated at St. Peter’s School, was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of ’47, and attended Burdette College. She worked at the Cushman Shoe Company and later transferred to Crest Shoe, where she worked as Assistant Treasurer until her retirement in 1989. A member of St. Peter & Paul Basilica, Prince of Peace Parish, she also belonged to Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Lewiston Senior Citizens, and the YWCA. …

Raymond R. Lampron, “Dadou”, 73, formerly of Lewiston, succumbed to complications of COPD on Sunday, July 12, 2015, at the Maine Veterans Home Residential Care Unit, in South Paris, ME. He was born in Lewiston, Maine on Nov. 30, 1941, the son of the late Leo and Dora (Cote) Lampron. Raymond attended Lewiston schools and proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1958 to 1962 when he was honorably discharged. Raymond returned to Maine and lived his entire adult life in Lewiston, the city that he loved and was proud to call home. He married Yolande (Guay) Lampron in 1964 and for forty three years they shared their lives, and together they raised their three children, and remained lifelong friends. …

He is survived by his four sons, John and wife, Heidi of York, ME and their daughter’s Erin and Morgan. David and Beth, Manchester, NH and their son’s Ian and Quinn. Laurent Rene Doyon, ”Rene”, 87 years old, of Lewiston, passed away in his home on Sunday, June 28, 2015, due to a heart attack. He was born on November 28, 1927 in Lewiston. He attended Hotel Road Country School, Walton Junior High School, and Edward Little High School all in Auburn, ME. He served in the US Navy from January 1946 – November 1947.  He was a Seaman 1st Class.  He was stationed in Portsmouth, VA., and worked in the radar division aboard the Battleship U.S.S. Mississippi. Upon receiving an honorable discharge from the military, he began working at the Hill Mill in Lewiston, ME where he worked as a weaver, loom changer and loom fixer for 17 years.  …

Arthur H. Myrick, 81, of 25 Carson Street, Auburn, died Sunday, July 5, 2015, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Lewiston on March 8, 1934, he was the son of Arthur F. and Ida V. Burgess Myrick. Educated in local schools, he was a graduate of Edward Little High School, Class of ’52. On May 4, 1957, he married the former Maureen Michael. They were happily married for 55 years until Maureen passed on May 19, 2012. Prior to his retirement, he was employed for many years as a tractor trailer driver for Armour, Sanborns, and APA Transport. …

Diane Eva Brown, 80, formerly of Schooner Estates and Maison Marcotte, met her Lord on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at the Clover Manor in Auburn, where she had been a resident for the past two months. Born in Lewiston on February 2, 1935, she was the daughter of Roger and Eva St. Hilaire Belleville. Educated locally, she was a graduate of St. Dominic High School, Class of ’53, and later graduated from Bliss College. On September 29, 1956, she married the love of her life, Robert S. Joan I. Soule, 79, formerly of 37 Academy Street, Auburn, died Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Montello Manor in Lewiston. Born in Lewiston on October 6, 1935, She was the daughter of Charles H. and Rose de Lima (Del) Charest Soule. Educated at St. Patrick’s School and Lewiston High School, She was a shoe shop worker, a CNA at Marcotte Nursing Home, and moved to Florida 30 years ago where she worked customer service for a credit card processing center. Joan died peacefully with her sister and family at her side. She leaves her sister, Doris Ducharme, her niece Rosemarie and husband Thomas Vining, her nephews Ronald and wife Judy; Jeffrey and wife Nancy; and Kevin and wife Penny Ducharme; 12 grand nieces and nephews, and she was especially pleased to be a great-great-aunt. …

Laurianne Michaud Cormier, 102, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at St. Mary’s Marguerite D’Youville Pavilion following a short illness and an amazing life.  She was surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Lewiston on July 12, 1912, the first of six children to Frank and Lea Goulet Michaud. She was educated by St. Peter’s Parochial School and become the provider for her family after graduating from Cours Superior in 1928. In 1940 she married Philippe Cormier and raised two daughters. Laurianne gave far more of herself than she demanded of others.  …

Blandine Yvette Goulet-Bilodeau, 1913 - 2015

Dearly loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Blandine Yvette Goulet-Bilodeau passed away in Naples, Florida on June, 18, 2015 after 101 years of a life well lived. Blandine was born in Ste. Claire, Quebec to Francois and Eugenie Beaudoin Goulet in September of 1913. After completing her education in the Province of Quebec, Blandine moved to Quebec City where she was employed as a dessert cook in the home of British Foreign Service dignitaries, the Rt. Honorable Sir Price and his wife, Lady Price. It was there that she met her husband, Gerard Bilodeau. The couple married in Honfleur, Canada in 1933 and moved to Lewiston, Maine. …
