Dorothy L. Bolduc, 99, of 66 Warren Avenue, Lewiston, died Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at the d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston. Born in Presque Isle on December 18, 1913, she was the daughter of Pierre S. and Laura Caron Michaud. Dorothy was one of 9 children. On Sept 4, 1933, she married Simeon J. Bolduc, who passed away in December of 1984. A member of Holy Family Church, Prince of Peace Parish, she was very active in church activities, especially with the Sodality. She was also a member of La Survivance Francaise, and for over 30 years volunteered at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. A devoted mother and grandmother, she is survived by two daughters, Rita L. Jean of Lewiston, and Simone and husband Glen Blaisdell of Lewiston, seventeen grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, forty one great grandchildren, nine step-great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents, husband and 8 siblings, she was predeceased by a son, Peter Bolduc, a daughter, Joan Coady, a grandson, Thomas Jean, and a great-grandson, Ryan J. Guay. The family wishes to express their heartfelt and grateful thanks to the entire staff on 4 West of d’Youville Pavillion. The care, respect and love you gave to our beloved Mother and Grandmother during her two years with you was nothing less than awesome. You all became part of our family and we will hold you in our hearts forever. And to all the Hospice staff who assisted in her last days we appreciate your help in preparing us to face her journey home.
